Ingredients

  • 10 oz green beans
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon roasted peanuts

Instructions

  • Crush the roasted peanuts using a grinder, or place them in a plastic zip-top bag and gently smash them with a rolling pin until finely crushed.
  • Line up the green beans and trim off the both stem ends. Then cut them into 1-inch pieces.
  • Bring a pot of water to a boil and add ¼ teaspoon of salt. Boil the cut green beans for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Drain the boiling water, cool the green beans under running water to stop the cooking process, then drain well and gently pat dry with a paper towel.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine soy sauce and maple syrup, and mix well. Add the green beans and toss until evenly coated.
  • Add the crushed peanuts to the bowl and toss until the green beans are evenly coated.
